Seattle biotech Lumen reports Phase 2 win in C. diff: Lumen Bioscience reported success in a 45-patient Phase 2 study testing its oral drug candidate LMN-201 in treating C. difficile infections. Ten of 12 patients receiving the drug in a second part of the trial achieved a global cure response, meaning they saw their current symptoms improve and avoided a recurrence of C. diff, a common, serious bacterial infection of the colon. That compared to four of 11 who received a placebo. Lumen will present its latest results on Saturday at the IDWeek 2026 conference in Washington. — Andrew Dunn
